About Next Phase Builds

Built by Brothers Who Care About the Work

We are Manny and Avak Shabanyan, the brothers behind Next Phase Builds. We built this Denver-area remodeling and construction company around a simple belief: homeowners deserve better than rushed work, poor communication, and projects that are treated like another number on a schedule.

Why we started building differently

We started Next Phase Builds after seeing too many kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and homes put together without the level of care we would expect in our own families’ homes. We wanted to build a company where craftsmanship, communication, clean work, and thoughtful design were not extras. Those were the standard.

We are brothers who grew up with a family standard built around steady work, persistence, responsibility, and follow-through. That background shapes how we approach the business today: show up, communicate clearly, respect the home, and do the work with pride.

For us, remodeling is not only about installing cabinets, tile, flooring, fixtures, or finishes. It is about helping you move into the next phase of how you want to live in your home.

Two brothers, one standard

Manny Shabanyan

When you work with us, Manny is often your day-to-day connection. He listens to what you want changed, explains practical options, and helps keep the project conversation moving clearly from the first walkthrough to the final details.

Avak Shabanyan

Avak helps keep the business organized behind the scenes so our projects can be handled with structure, accountability, and follow-through. Together, we bring hands-on remodeling experience and a family-run approach to the work.

Quality over shortcuts

We are not trying to be the company that rushes through the most jobs. We would rather take on the right project and give it the attention it deserves than move fast and leave homeowners with work that feels unfinished, careless, or disconnected from the original vision.

Our strongest projects are kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, basement finishing, additions, and larger home updates where planning, detail, and communication matter. Whole-home remodels and custom construction conversations are also a fit when the scope calls for a more complete contractor approach.

Communication stays part of the work

We do not believe you should feel left out of your own project. We keep homeowners involved with practical conversations about scope, timing, design choices, and next steps.

Craftsmanship is the baseline

We care about the details homeowners notice every day: clean lines, modern finishes, thoughtful layouts, durable materials, and work that feels intentional.

Details are not afterthoughts

Kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and whole-home updates are shaped by many small decisions. We want those details considered before they become problems.

The home is treated with respect

Remodeling happens inside someone's living space. Clean work areas, respectful communication, and a professional jobsite are part of how we want every project to feel.

A practical example of the standard

On one townhouse kitchen remodel, the homeowner wanted a cleaner, more modern space but needed practical guidance on what to change and what to avoid. We walked through the options, communicated throughout the project, installed the work on schedule, and helped transform the kitchen into a space that felt sharper, cleaner, and better suited to the home.

Rooted in Colorado

Colorado is home for us. We care about the Denver area, the surrounding suburbs, and the communities where we work because we are part of those communities too. Our goal is to help homeowners improve the places they already love, whether that means remodeling a kitchen, updating a bathroom, finishing a basement, adding space, or planning a larger home transformation.

If you are looking for a contractor who values quality over shortcuts, we offer a more personal way to approach construction: direct communication, careful planning, clean work, and a finished space that feels worth the investment.
